Poker Mavens is Texas Hold`em poker software that lets both friends and strangers play against each other over the Internet for fun or practice. The software comes in two parts: a free Client Module that each player uses plus a Server Module that coordinates the action for each game. A designated game administrator can run the Server Module in private mode so that only their friends can join in, or in public mode so that anyone can join in.

* Play Limit, Pot Limit, and No Limit Texas Hold`em from 2 to 9 players in single table tournament (Sit & Go) style
* Graphical user interface displays player avatars, cards, and chips with sound effects
* Basic game statistics and hand histories available to all players
* Both Client and Server Modules run on any Windows PC connected to the Internet or any TCP/IP-based local area network
* Client Module is freeware
* Low cost Server Module (only $29.95) is licensed on a concurrent game model and is available in a free trial version
* Game administrator (who can also play) can use passwords and blacklists to manage player access and can configure starting chips and blinds schedule

Requirements:

* Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, or XP
* Video resolution 800 x 600 or higher
* Internet connection
* Two to nine players running the free Client Module
* A designated game administrator running the Server Module
